Have you ever thought about the plan of salvation in detail? What about the fact that those who do not accept Christ as their savior and live by faith in Him, will ultimately die, when Christ returns at the end of the world? Have you ever thought about the in light of the fact that Jesus already died for everyone. Have you ever considered the question: Why will the unbeliever die? Didn't Christ already die for them? I mean didn't He die for our sins? If Christ has died for us, why will the unbeliever die? Will God be exacting a second punishment for sins already paid for by the death of His Son? This is an important question and many of our answers to this question reveal real confusion about the plan of salvation. It goes to the heart of the question, Is God just.
God does not do double jeopardy. If He did then He would be unjust. So we need to understand how the plan of salvation really works. Is it set up according to the Arminian idea or is it Calvinistic? I would suggest the Bible teaches neither of these theories and what the Bible teaches will blow your mind. It is good news almost beyond belief.
